Oromo Heritage Foundation

Preserve. Celebrate. Uplift.

Dedicated to preserving Oromo culture, language, and traditions while building bridges within our community and beyond. Through education, cultural programs, and community support, we ensure our rich heritage thrives for future generations.

Our Mission Pillars

Three core areas guide our work in preserving and promoting Oromo heritage

Education

Preserving and teaching Oromo language, history, and cultural knowledge through structured programs for all ages. We believe education is the foundation of cultural continuity.

Cultural Programs

Organizing festivals, ceremonies, and cultural events that celebrate Oromo traditions while fostering community connections and cultural pride among diaspora families.

Community Support

Providing resources, mentorship, and assistance to Oromo families in the DMV area, helping newcomers integrate while maintaining their cultural identity.

Our Programs
